In the glorious late 70s, when the Iron Curtain and the Steel Curtain had opponents in equal states of terror, a parking lot entrepreneur at Three Rivers celebrated Pittsburgh's championship years with this bootleg masterpiece. In '79, "Black and Gold" was beautiful and awesome not only on the gridiron where Joe was mean and Jack was murderous, but also on the diamond where Pops led his Fam-A-lee to their own championship.
The beauty of this particular design was that it could be proudly worn (and hocked) winter, spring, summer and fall. After we unearthed a vintage original at a thrift shop, we couldn't resist giving this Steel City shirt for all seasons a few seasons more.
